Read about Round One HERE.

Now, let’s breakdown the philanthropy round and give you some tips!

WANT TO KNOW 5 WAYS TO STAND OUT FROM ALL THE OTHER POTENTIAL NEW MEMBERS?

Breakdown of Philanthropy Round.

You will start the day by getting your list of sororities. This day is usually more emotional than Round One. You may get cut from sororities. You might have thought you had a real connection. However, try not to take it personally. Voting is all a numbers game.

Read all about voting and sorority recruitment HERE.

After you get your list, you will start your parties.

The parties will be longer than Round One.

During the parties, the sorority members will talk about their philanthropy and the philanthropy events they hold throughout the year. The sororities might even show you a video.

The questions the sorority girls will ask are:

  1. What were you involved in during high school?

  2. If you are a college sophomore or junior -- What were you involved in last year/currently?

  3. What type of activities do you plan on getting involved in during college? -- Many sororities are looking for a well-rounded member. They want you to be involved in other clubs and activities.

  4. Questions revolved around their philanthropy and their philanthropy event

Wear a slightly more dressy outfit than Round One. Your outfits should be nicer each day you go through recruitment.

The sorority members will then walk you out.

You will vote on the sororities at the end of the day.

tips for sorority recruitment

Tips:

  • This round is more serious than the prior day. You really need to think about what you want out of a sorority, the girls you have met in the sorority, and your future college experience.

  • Making connections are extremely important. Did you like the sorority girls, could you connect with them?

  • Again, write a list of pros and cons for the sororities that you visited.

  • Wear something that will allow you to stand out from the crowd.
