OUTFIT GUIDE #4 FOR SORORITY RECRUITMENT

What should you wear to sorority recruitment?

Is okay to wear shorts?

Should you wear a dress?

What about pref? Should you wear heels?

Do you need to buy all new stuff?

Do you need to wear Lilly Pulitzer?

All of these questions might be running through your mind, and I am here to help you find the perfect looks for sorority recruitment.

Remember sorority recruitment is not about what labels you are wearing. It’s important to let your personal style shine. The sorority members want to get to know you, and they want to see who you are!

I recommend going through your closet and picking out the clothes you feel the most confident in! Then, you can go shopping for the other pieces you need.

Everything in this post is from an online store called Vici. They have some trendy, affordable pieces. The clothes do sell out fast! If you see something you like, I would recommend picking it up.

LET'S GET INTO THE OUTFITS.

I just want to put out a disclaimer: What you wear to sorority recruitment is different at every college.

Do you your research! Look at the instagrams of sororities for your college and see what the sorority girls are wearing during recruitment. Also, many schools have an outfit guide that suggests what to wear for each round. This guide can be found on your college's Panhellenic site.

Some colleges are more preppy and others are more bohemian. It really all depends on the college.

However, don’t let a certain look sway you from wearing what you are most confident in! You don’t want to get an outfit and feel uncomfortable in it!

WEAR PIECES THAT YOU ARE MOST CONFIDENT IN!! Don’t forget to show off your personal style.

I always recommend that you start in your closet. See what you already have. Then if you are still missing pieces, go out to buy them. These outfits are for inspiration.

Round One.

Round One is all about first impressions.

This round is the most casual round! It’s also the longest round because you are visiting all the sororities. Make sure your shoes are broken in.

Read all about Round One HERE.

Girls during this round usually wear:

  • Dresses

  • Skirts

  • Shorts

  • Sets

  • Rompers

  • Sandals -- I am loving the Flatform trendy -- you can also wear a fun tennis shoe. No running shoes or shoes you would play a sport in. I have a ton of looks on my Pinterest page.

Look Two.

Round Two.

There are less girls going to each sorority for Round Two. Make sure to show off your personal style. It's a great way to show the sorority the real you!

As you move through the rounds, they get more formal.

The overall vibe for this round is brunch with your girlfriends. Don't get worried about overdressing because it is always better to be overdressed than underdressed.

This round is still rather long, so make sure you have comfortable shoes.

Read all about Round Two HERE.

Girls usually wear

  • Dresses

  • Jumpsuits

  • Sandals OR you could even go for heels

Look One.

A bootie is a great way to change up a look. Just make sure it fits the season. AKA don't wear fur in the summer.

Round Three.

Round Three is a little nicer than Round Two.

Keep thinking like brunch with your girlfriends when you are picking out your outfits for this round.

Girls usually wear.

  • Dresses

  • Some sort of heels or wedges

Pref.

Pref is the most formal round.

All the guides are saying girls wear a cocktail dress. However, we recommend that you wear something a little more formal than the rest of the rounds.

Don’t wear anything too tight. NO bodycon dresses.

Don’t wear heels TOO high. You are not at the club.

Don’t show too much cleavage. There are no boys to impress.

Some colleges have recommended colors to wear OR colors to not wear. Make sure to do your research before you get to sorority recruitment.

For example, most girls going through sorority recruitment at UGA wear black during Pref Round.

Girls for this round wear:
