First impressions play a major part in your sorority recruitment score. You need to look and feel your very best.
B U T it does not stop there… you need to show off your personality and make connections with the sorority members. One great way to show off your personality is your personal style. Your personal style is how you will stand out from the crowd. It’s how the sorority members will get to know you a little better. You cannot just wear Lily Pulitzer and expect to get into a sorority.
What should you wear?
It all depends on the college. Some colleges are more formal and others give you t-shirts to wear.
You need to do a little research and see what your college is like. I recommend looking at the Instagrams of the sororities from your college. You will get to see what they wear to recruitment and what the overall vibe is.
Don’t let a certain look sway you from wearing what you are most confident in! You don’t want to get an outfit and feel uncomfortable in it!
WEAR PIECES THAT YOU ARE MOST CONFIDENT IN!!
When you are putting together your looks, start with some of your favorite pieces. Then, look in your closet and see what goes.
You don’t need to go out and buy new clothes.
I have put together some looks for each round of sorority recruitment. These looks are for inspiration.

Want to know 5 ways to stand out from all the other potential new members?
Round One is all about first impressions.
This round is the most casual round! It’s also the longest round because you are visiting all the sororities. Make sure your shoes are broken in.
Read all about Round One HERE.
Girls during this round usually wear:
Sandals or Booties
REQUIRED T-SHIRT ROUND.
When everyone is wearing the same shirt, it is important to stand out.
Most girls will reach for their jean shorts. However, I highly recommend trying something else. Maybe a jean skirt or some fun jeans or a pair of shorts with a pattern.
Make sure to show off your personal style. Add jewelry. Add a fun shoe.
Just remember to not cut up your shirt. You can tie it up, but don't cut it!
Read more about required t-shirt round HERE.
Girls for this round usually wear:
Sandals -- no flip flops.
A fun sneaker-- do not wear running shoes or workout shoes.
JUST AN FYI: Not all college have a require t-shirt round.
There are less girls going to each sorority for Round Two. Make sure to show off your personal style. It's a great way to show the sorority the real you!
As you move through the rounds, they get more formal.
The overall vibe for this round is brunch with your girlfriends. Don't get worried about overdressing because it’s always better to be overdressed than underdressed.
This round is still rather long, so make sure you have comfortable shoes.
Read all about Round Two HERE.
Girls usually wear
Sandals OR you could even go for heels
Round Three is a little nicer than Round Two.
Keep thinking like brunch with your girlfriends when you are picking out your outfits for this round.
Read all about Round Three HERE.
Girls usually wear.
Some sort of heels or wedges
Pref is the most formal round.
All the guides are saying girls wear a cocktail dress. However, we recommend that you wear something a little more formal than the rest of the rounds. It does not have to be expensive nor does the dress have to be knee length.
Don’t wear anything too tight. N O bodycon dresses.
Don’t wear heels T O O high. You are not at the club.
Don’t show too much cleavage. There are no boys to impress.
Some colleges have recommended colors to wear O R colors to not wear. Make sure to do your research before you get to sorority recruitment.
For example, most girls going through sorority recruitment at UGA wear black during Pref Round.
