OUTFIT GUIDE #3 FOR SORORITY RECRUITMENT

I am bringing you another outfit guide for sorority recruitment! If you want some more inspiration make sure to check out OUTFIT GUIDE #1 and OUTFIT GUIDE #2.

This outfit guide is from a boutique called Dress Up. I love Dress Up.  Their motto is affordable, trendy clothing. Man, do they live up to that!

Clothes can be expensive, but Dress Up makes it possible to buy a whole outfit for under $100. YES! YES! YES!

Remember, sorority recruitment is not about wearing designer clothes. The sorority members want to meet YOU!

Wear whatever makes you feel the most comfortable!

Wear what you like!

Be you because that is the best part of you!

LET'S GET INTO THE OUTFITS.

I just want to put out a disclaimer: What you wear to sorority recruitment is different at every college.

Do you your research! Look at the instagrams of sororities for your college and see what the sorority girls are wearing during recruitment. Also, many schools have an outfit guide that suggests what to wear for each round. This guide can be found on your college's Panhellenic site.

Some colleges are more preppy and others are more bohemian. It really all depends on the college.

However, don’t let a certain look sway you from wearing what you are most confident in! You don’t want to get an outfit and feel uncomfortable in it!

WEAR PIECES THAT YOU ARE MOST CONFIDENT IN!! Don’t forget to show off your personal style.

I always recommend that you start in your closet. See what you already have. Then if you are still missing pieces, go out to buy them. These outfits are for inspiration.

ROUND ONE.

Round One is all about first impressions.

This round is the most casual round! It’s also the longest round because you are visiting all the sororities.

Read all about Round One HERE.

Girls during this round usually wear:

  • Dresses

  • Skirts

  • Shorts

  • Sets

  • Rompers

  • Sandals -- I am loving the Flatform trendy -- you can also wear a fun tennis shoe. No running shoes or shoes you would play a sport in. I have a ton of looks on my Pinterest page.

LOOK TWO...

Make sure that if you are going to wear a romper, it's not too short!

ROUND TWO.

There are fewer girls going to each sorority for Round Two. Make sure to show off your personal style. It's a great way to show the sorority the real you!

As you move through the rounds, they get more formal.

The overall vibe for this round is brunch with your girlfriends. Don't get worried about overdressing because it’s always better to be overdressed than underdressed.

This round is still rather long, so make sure you have comfortable shoes.

Girls usually wear

  • Dresses

  • Jumpsuits

  • Sandals OR you could even go for heels

ROUND THREE.

Round Three is a little nicer than Round Two.

Keep thinking like brunch with your girlfriends when you are picking out your outfits for this round.

Girls usually wear.

  • Dresses

  • Some sort of heels or wedges

I love a thick heel. It makes it super easy to walk in and comfy!

PREF.

Pref is the most formal round.

All the guides are saying girls wear a cocktail dress. However, we recommend that you wear something a little more formal than the rest of the rounds.

Don’t wear anything too tight. NO bodycon dresses.

Don’t wear heels TOO high. You are not at the club.

Don’t show too much cleavage. There are no boys to impress.

Some colleges have recommended colors to wear OR colors to not wear. Make sure to do your research before you get to sorority recruitment.

For example, most girls going through sorority recruitment at UGA wear black during Pref Round.

Girls for this round wear:

  • Dresses

  • Jumpsuits -- Super fun and flattering, a great way to stand out

  • Heels -- it's basically a must

LOOK ONE...

I recommend you wear heels for Pref, but if you are not comfortable walking in them wear flats. Just make sure your flats are a little nicer than an everyday flat. No flip flops.
