A large component of sorority recruitment is first impressions.
You have a blink of an eye to make either a good or bad impression.
Your appearance plays a role in your first impression.
I get it, being judged is hard.
The sorority girls are not trying to be mean or hurt your feelings. They are simply trying to find the best girls for their sorority.
They are looking for girls that will benefit their chapter.
They are looking for girls who will help the chapter grow.
They are looking for girls who will fit in and find their forever home.
Now, I am not saying you have to be a blonde Instagram model to get a bid to a sorority.
Each chapter has an image. This image is the sorority's appearance, values, and personality.
The sorority is looking for girls who are similar to them. They want to find the girls who will fit in!
Your appearance has nothing to do with designer things. NO ONE cares if you are wearing Lilly Pulitzer or Tory Burch.
The sorority cares that you are confident that you know who you are. They want to get to know the REAL you.
Wear whatever makes you feel the most comfortable!
Wear what you like!
Be you because that is the best part of you!
Today, I am sharing some of our favorite outfits from LuLu's.
I LOVE LuLu’s for sorority recruitment outfits!
There are so many great options and the prices are very affordable!
Like there are $12 earrings -- HELL YEAH!

Okay let’s get into the outfits.
I just want to put out a disclaimer: What you wear to sorority recruitment is different at every college.
Do you your research! Look at the instagrams of sororities for your college and see what the sorority girls are wearing during recruitment.
Some colleges are more preppy and others are more bohemian. It really all depends on the college.
However, don’t let a certain look sway you from wearing what you are most confident in! You don’t want to get an outfit and feel uncomfortable in it!
WEAR PIECES THAT YOU ARE MOST CONFIDENT IN!! Don’t forget to show off your personal style.
I always recommend that you start in your closet. See what you already have. Then if you are still missing pieces, go out to buy them. These outfits are for inspiration.
Round One is all about first impressions.
It’s the most casual round!
It’s also the longest round because you are visiting all the sororities.

Girls during this round usually wear:
Sandals -- I am loving the Flatform trendy -- you can also wear a fun tennis shoe. No running shoes or shoes you would play a sport in. I have a ton of looks on my Pinterest page.

As you move through the rounds, they get more formal.
The overall vibe for this round is brunch with your girlfriends. Don't get worried about overdressing because it is always better to be overdressed than underdressed.
This round is still rather long, so make sure you have comfortable shoes.

Sandals OR you could even go for heels

Round Three is a little nicer than Round Two. But basically, it is the same kind of vibe.
Keep thinking like brunch with your girlfriends when you are picking out your outfits for this round.

Pref is the most formal round.
All the guides are saying girls wear a cocktail dress. However, I recommend that you wear something a little more formal than the rest of the rounds.
Don’t wear anything too tight. NO bodycon dresses.
Don’t wear heels TOO high. You are not at the club.
Don’t show too much cleavage. There are no boys to impress.
Some colleges have recommended colors to wear OR colors to not wear. Make sure to do your research before you get to sorority recruitment.
For example, most girls going through sorority recruitment at UGA wear black during Pref Round.
