Outfits. Outfits. Outfits.

Let’s just say your outfits are important in sorority recruitment. Like really important. It allows the sorority members to get a glimpse at your personality and see who you are.

Let’s be real honest who does not love showing off their personal style!

However, a lot of colleges have a day that all the girls going through recruitment wear the  S A M E  shirt. I know... super boring.

Even though you are wearing the  S A M E  shirt as every other girl, you still need to stand out.

It’s going to be hard to stand out. Especially if you are not connecting with the sorority members. Remember  C O N N E C T I O N S  are everything.

Want to know 5 ways to stand out from all the other potential new members?

How do you stand out?

Tip #1.

Show off your personal style. Wear a necklace, earrings, bracelet, shorts, shoes… wear something that is a little different. Something all the other girls are not wearing.

You probably will see a million girls wearing the same shorts and some boring brown shoes. Don’t be that girl. Don’t be the girl who gets lost in the crowd.

Below, I have included some ideas for shorts, skirts, jeans, shoes, and accessories.

Tip #2.

Don’t cut up your shirt. I know it is tempting…. but don’t do it.

You really don’t want to be the girl who went out on a limb and decided to make the shirt into a crop top.

You can do a half tuck. You can fully tuck your t-shirt in. You can tie it into a knot…. you know what I am talking about?

Okay, I will include a pic.

Just don’t do anything toooooo crazy.

Tip #3.

Don’t wear jean shorts and flip flops. This look is so basic. You need to stand out. Wear something that’s fun and fresh.

Don’t forget, be  C O M F O R T A B L E  in what you are wearing.

never underestimate the power of a good outfit

Tip #4.

This day is usually one of the longest days of rush. Wear shoes that are comfortable. Like really comfortable.

You probably don’t want to wear heels this day. You definitely don’t want to wear shoes you did not break in…

Plus, shorts and heels is not always a good look.

I recommend a sandal or some kind of slip on shoe. Don’t wear slides, you are not going to the pool.

Tip #5.

Do something different with your hair. This day is much more casual than the other days (aka you are wearing a t-shirt not a dress), so now is the time to wear a ponytail or braids or fun look. Plus if it is hot, it's a great way to stay cool.

Just make sure you practice this look prior to sorority recruitment. You don’t want to try something new the morning of…

Okay let’s get into the inspiration.

Just a quick note before we get into the inspiration.

Remember to be you.

Wear something you are comfortable in.

Show off  Y O U R  personal style.

Don’t try to fit an image.
