TWO WAY STREET

One of the biggest misconceptions in sorority recruitment is the sorority O N L Y has to impress you.

Right???

They are trying to win you over?!?

WRONG!

Sorority recruitment is a two-way street. You are voting on the sorority and the sorority members are voting on you.

In the grand scheme of things, you are fighting for a spot in the sorority.

I hate to break it to you, but there are only so many spots each sorority can give away.

WANT TO KNOW 5 WAYS TO STAND OUT FROM ALL THE OTHER POTENTIAL NEW MEMBERS?

Let’s Breakdown THIS CONCEPT DOWN.

If you look at sorority recruitment as a whole, it really all comes down to two factors:

  1. You have to find the R I G H T sorority aka the sorority has to impress you.

  2. The sorority has to find the R I G H T new members aka you have to impress them.

It’s easy to get consumed in sorority recruitment. You are spending hours on hours going to houses. You are finding out information on the sorority and making connections with the sorority members. You are trying to find the perfect sorority.

If you look at the other side of sorority recruitment, the sorority members are doing the exact same thing. They are trying to figure out who you are and if you would be a good fit for their sorority. Just like you, they are trying to find the perfect new members.

You have to go into each round giving it your all.

If you are not making impressions, why are they going to vote to keep you?

Your vote matters in sorority recruitment, but so does the sorority member’s vote. A girl the sorority member can connect with is going to make it much further than a girl who has no connection.

Why?

It’s simple. Sororities are made up of members who have connections. The girls might be made up of similar backgrounds. They might have a similar interest. The list goes on.

It’s like joining a friend group. All the friends have a common piece that bonds them together.

MAKING AN IMPRESSION.

Again impressions come down to connections. You have to connect with the sorority members. If you are not connecting, that's okay!

You are not going to connect with every sorority.

The sororities you D O connect with are the sororities you need to devote your undivided attention to!
