Pref Round is the final round of sorority recruitment. It’s the day before Bid Day.
It is the most important day of sorority recruitment. At the end of the day, you will be picking the sorority you want to spend your next four year with.
This round is the most serious.
If you make it to pref, the sororities are considering you to be a future member.

Now, let’s get into the breakdown and tips!
Breakdown of Pref:
Again, you will get your list of sororities to visit. Usually, the list will only be two to three sororities.
Then, you will start your parties.
These parties will be the longest. You may only talk to one member.
During the parties, the sorority members will share the importance of their sorority, why they joined, etc. You will get a real feeling for the sorority and the members.
Some questions they might ask:
What are you looking for in a sorority?
How your recruitment process went?
How your morning was? — sometimes girls going through recruitment have just been dropped by their number one sorority
This day can be very emotional for everyone. You probably have not slept. You have not had enough time to eat well. You may have faced rejection.
Sorority recruitment has its ups and downs and everyone in the room knows that. Everyone in the room has been in the same position as you!
Be honest with the sorority members. If you are excited to be there, tell them! If you just got cut from your number one sorority, you can let them know.
Being vulnerable is hard! But the sorority members cannot read your mind. They need to know where you stand so they can vote correctly!
Then, the sorority members will walk you out and immediately go vote on the girls from that party. You will vote at the end of the day.
WANT TO KNOW 5 WAYS TO STAND OUT FROM ALL THE OTHER POTENTIAL NEW MEMBERS?
Look around at the girls going through recruitment and the sorority members. These girls could be your sisters.
See the sorority members for who they are, not for the gossip you heard.
Make a pros and cons list of all sororities that you visited that day.
Ask questions. If you really want to know something, ask them. These questions will let you figure out if the sorority is the right fit for you!
Don’t talk about boys, booze, and politics.
Wear something to stand out from the crowd.
Even if you just faced rejection, be open-minded to the sororities you are going to visit.
When picking your top sorority, go with your gut! It’s usually right!
