Deciding what to wear to sorority recruitment can seem very overwhelming. You feel like you need to look your absolute best. You might even feel pressured to find the perfect outfits.
I am going to breakdown the basic guideline of what to wear for sorority recruitment.
The number one babe tips is to show off your personal style. Remember sorority recruitment is not about what labels you are wearing.
So you went through recruitment. You did not get a bid for whatever reason.
You might be disappointed right now, B U T you still have options!!
COB (continuous open bidding) is a great way to join a sorority after formal recruitment.
Basically, COB is like formal sorority recruitment but much more casual. You get to really meet some of the sorority members. It’s less small talk and more get to know you talk. It like hanging out with some new friends.
Sorority recruitment can be hard. You wake up before the sun. You make small talk with what seems like a million girls. Your emotions are on a rollercoaster.
When you finally get that bid, everything seems like it was worth it.
Then, you meet new people. You get a Big. You get to go on fun date nights. You are living the sorority life you have dreamed of.
But, stuff happens. Maybe the sorority costs more than you thought. Maybe life happens. Maybe the sorority requires more time than you thought.
You are forced to make a hard decision. Do you drop or do you stay?
You have probably seen it all over Instagram. Girls are posting about how much they love their Bigs (or Littles) with all the cliche captions.
But… What’s up with this Big and Little thing? What’s really going on?
Here’s the breakdown about Big and Little:
After you accept a bid from a sorority, you immediately go to Bid Day. Bid Day is one of the most exciting days of the year for sorority girls. It’s basically like a H U G E party just for you and all your new sisters!
Okay, here is the situation… sorority recruitment has it’s own language. Like REC letters, legacies, Big/ Little, the list goes on. What do all these words even mean?
Today, we are going to dive into legacies. There is a lot to this topic. I mean like a ton.
Here is the breakdown: Every sorority has its own legacy policy. Each policy covers all the basics. It explains who is considered a legacy and if the legacy gets any special treatment.

You made it to Pref Round! Y A Y !
Pref Round is the last round of sorority recruitment, and it’s usually the most serious round. Things tend to get emotional.
The sorority member show you why they chose their sorority. They let you in on their sorority recruitment experience. They let down their walls to see if you are the right fit for the sorority. It’s their last time to pitch you on why you need to a member.
The night before sorority recruitment officially starts, you go to orientation. There you will be assigned a group and recruitment counselor. Your group is usually based on your last name.
Basically, it’s just a way for you to have a more personal sorority experience.
Think of it like you are going to camp. You are not free and left to figure everything out on your own. You have a camp counselor to help guide you and make sure everything is perfect.
It’s the same thing for sorority recruitment.
