Like I have said before, sorority recruitment is A L L about small talk. The goal of the sorority members is to get to know you and to see if you are the perfect fit.

Round One the small talk is light and fun, but by Pref it gets more serious. Pref is all about answering some tough questions. Okay may not tough, but these questions will require a little more thinking.

Here are some of the go to questions for Pref.

  • What are you looking for in a sorority?

  • What can you contribute to the sorority?

  • Why do you want to join the sorority?

I told you they require some thinking….

When I was asked these type of questions, I immediately thought okay Kelly….. we were just talking about how cute my dress was. Now this? I was completely thrown off guard.

COB (continuous open bidding) is a great way to join a sorority after formal recruitment.

Basically, COB is like formal sorority recruitment but much more casual. You get to really meet some of the sorority members. It’s less small talk and more get to know you talk. It like hanging out with some new friends.
